Directions
We are located on VT Route 242 exactly three miles from Montgomery Center. After you pass the Belfry Restaurant (if that is possible, it's so good!), we are 0.7 miles on the right. Coming from the Jay Peak Ski Area we are about five miles on your left.
The Cottages at Shéady Acres are located in northern Vermont, near Jay Peak Resort in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Our unique location allows guests to easily travel to nearby Canada as well as Stowe, Burlington, and points of interest in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.

TOWN OF ‘JAY, VERMONT’ INTO YOUR GPS DEVICE AND THEN, ONCE YOU ARE IN
THE TOWN OF JAY, ALLOW YOUR GPS DEVICE TO RECALIBRATE TO FIND THE
COTTAGES AT SHEADY ACRES – OTHERWISE YOU ARE VERY LIKELY TO BE
MISDIRECTED OR TAKE A VERY LONG AND OUT OF YOUR WAY TRIP!!
SCENIC ALTERNATE ROUTE FROM SOUTH
• Route I-91 north to Exit 10 in Vermont (Rte I-89-North)
• Route I-89 north to Exit 10 (the Stowe exit) to Rte 100 North.
• Route 100 north to Rte 118 north. (Route 100 will zigzag through Morrisville and join Rte 15 for approx. 2 miles before breaking north again. From this point it is approximately 9 miles to Rte 118). Follow the signs for Rte 242 towards Jay and continue up-hill for 3 miles. SHEADY ACRES will be on your right.
SCENIC ROUTE FROM BOSTON
• Best way to I-93 north.
• Route I-93 to I-89 north
• Route I-89 north to Exit 10 (the Stowe exit) to Rte 100 North.
• Route 100 north to Rte 118 north. (Route 100 will zigzag through Morrisville and join Rte 15 for approx. 2 miles before breaking north again. From this point it is approximately 9 miles to Rte 118). Follow the signs for Rte 242 towards Jay and continue up-hill for 3
miles. SHEADY ACRES will be on your right. YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO
FOLLOW THE BURLINGTON DIRECTIONS BELOW. STAY ON I-89 INSTEAD OF
EXITING AT STOWE.
FROM BURLINGTON
• Route I-89 north to Exit 19
• Turn right at end of ramp onto Rte 104 and follow until Rte 104 merges into Rte 105
• Follow Rte 105 through Enosburg Falls toward Richford to Rte 118 south.
• Follow Rte 118 south seven miles to the 2nd village (Montgomery Center)
• Rte. 118 becomes the Main St. in Montgomery Center. Follow the signs for Rte 242 towards Jay and continue up-hill for 3 miles. SHEADY ACRES will be on your right.
FROM MONTREAL, QC
• Follow Auto Route 10 to Auto Route 35 south.
• Auto Route 35 at Iberville will change to Rte 133.
• Follow Rte 133 to the Border crossing, where Rte I-89 begins.
• Follow Rte I-89 south to Exit 21 (Rte. 78)
• Follow Rte 78 east to Rte 105 east.
• Follow Rte. 105 east to Rte. 118 south.
• Follow Rte 118 south seven miles to the 2nd village (Montgomery Center).
• Rte. 118 becomes the Main St. in Montgomery Center. Follow the signs for Rte 242 towards Jay and continue up-hill for 3 miles. SHEADY ACRES will be on your right.
From QUEBEC CITY, QC
• Take the Trans Canada 20 West to Drummondville
• Take Highway 55 South to Sherbrooke
• Then take Autoroute 10 West to Exit 106 at Eastman, QC
• Follow Route 245 South to South Bolton
• Take Route 243 South through Mansonville to Highwater, Quebec/North Troy, VT border
• Then take a right onto Route 101 South for approximately 3 miles
• Turn right onto Route 242 West and follow it 5 miles beyond Jay Peak Ski Area. SHEADY ACRES is on your left. Distance: approximately 320 km/200 miles; 3.25 hours
WARNING REGARDING ROUTE 58 in WINTER
Please be warned that any directions which refer to Rte 58 are only valid during the summer months since Rte 58 between Lowell and Montgomery Center is closed in the winter and not passable from November 1 to May 1. Although open in the summer, Rte 58 is not paved
along the stretch through Hazen’s Notch. It is a beautiful drive in summer, but closed in winter.
